Lack of Color hat | Privileged top | Thea by Thara shorts | Céline bag | Birkenstock sandals
Dressing up modestly is one of my principles in life. Not that I am against people who show curves or skin – this is just something that I hold as a personal preference, and for the fact that I cannot stand cold weather. But for some people, it can be challenging to find the perfect and comfortable styles to go for when traveling to a tropical island. So today I’m sharing my tips to dress fashionably without showing too much skin.
WEAR AN INTERESTING HAT FOR INSTANT INDIVIDUALITY
A hat is the combination of practicality and fashion – and a hat shouts style in confidence. When in a tropical getaway, straw hats are always my go-to fashion items. It’s basic and sweet at the same time, plus it protects your skin face and hair from direct sun exposure.
LOOSE SHORTS CAN GO A LONG WAY
Especially with high-waist loose shorts, you can create an illusion of longer and slimmer legs. I also like loose shorts for the fact that it is very practical and comfortable without looking messy. Remember to always aim for the effortless look, not lazy look.
ACCESSORIZE
For a tropical getaway, you don’t need elaborate accessories. Simple clean accessories with gold color are enough for instant impact.
LOOK OUT FOR SLEEVELESS TOPS
Sleeveless tops are decent and feminine – that is why they are so perfect for your tropical getaway. Paired with a loose shorts, you are good to go!
